What to expect

Join us on the west side of Ubud, where the lush surroundings evoke a tranquil countryside atmosphere. Your culinary journey begins with a visit to the traditional market, where you’ll select spices and ingredients for your chosen menu. Following this, we’ll take you to a local house, offering you insights into Balinese culture, lifestyle, and architectural traditions.

Our next stop is our own farm, where you’ll engage in a hands-on farm tour. Harvest the very spices you’ll be using during the cooking class. Our Balinese chef will guide you in the preparation of authentic Balinese dishes using these fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

Throughout the class, you’ll acquire an understanding of Balinese cooking techniques, including chopping and pounding spices using a traditional Lesung (mortar and pestle). The chef will provide detailed insights into cooking methods, ingredient usage, and menu options, whether you prefer vegetarian, vegan, or regular dishes.
